It’s August, which means a host of refinements, tweaks, and new features to make Everlaw’s litigation platform better than ever! Here are the changes we released this weekend:
New Compact View
Locating the most relevant items on your ediscovery dashboard is now easier. We’ve added a new Compact View option on the screen you see when you first log in to Everlaw. It shows you only the favorited and recently active “cards” on your homepage – whether that’s searches, binders, exports, or something else. You can switch from a full view that shows all of your cards to this new streamlined Compact View by using the drop-down menu in the top left corner of the homepage. Just pull down to “Compact” to activate it.
When you activate Compact View, you will see favorited cards, cards less than a day old, or cards that have been created or shared since your last login. The green check-mark next to the filter box is the “sweep unfavorited cards” button. Clicking on it will hide all cards with recent activity, leaving only cards that you have favorited.
You can expand the columns alphabetically or use keyboard shortcuts in Compact View, just like in the regular view. We hope Compact View will give you a powerful second option for managing your workflow in complex cases.
New Ungrouping Option
We have also added a new option to our grouping tool. There is now a “Remove children” option in the drop-down, which removes any children from grouped search results – whether they are attachments, duplicates, or other emails in a thread – leaving only parent documents in your results.
There are many potential uses for this feature, such as:
- Deduplicate a set of documents, even after hot or warm ratings have been applied
- Show only the parent email of any documents in your results
- Limit your table to one email per thread
New Message Exporting
You can now export your Everlaw system messages as a csv file. Simply click the “Export” option on the messages page, and the body of your messages, names of attachments, and time and sender information will be packaged and exported for download. You can download the file either by clicking on the link in the “task completed” notification that pops up once the file is ready, or from the homepage, under the “Batches & Exports” column.
If you want to export all the messages sent within your case, contact your account lead or Everlaw support.
New Random Sampling
You can now choose to see only a randomly-sampled subset of your full search results for any given search. To do this, go to the search page, do a search, and toggle the new sample search option, which is at the bottom of the terms table. A new box will appear under the query builder where you can specify a percentage of the full result set you would like to see.
New Help Center
Last, but not least, we’ve overhauled our help center. Now you can search by topic or keyword, or contact Everlaw Support directly, within an easy-to-navigate knowledge base. This should make getting answers to any questions you have even faster and easier!
Please let us know if you have any questions about or suggestions for any of these new features!
