crossfunctional support

At Everlaw, our core product uses advanced AI and machine learning to make legal work more efficient and allow legal professionals the bandwidth to showcase their hard-earned knowledge and skills – we have the same philosophy as it relates to the use of AI when candidates are engaging with us in a hiring context and some of the tools we’ll leverage in the hiring process.

We want to get the most accurate read on your abilities, skills and experience when engaging with you as a candidate, so we’ve set up the following guidelines to make that a reality.

By applying for a role at Everlaw, you agree to adhere to these guidelines when engaging with us as a candidate.

Where You May Use AI

Researching Everlaw & Industry Topics

Use AI to gather background, generate study guides, or brainstorm interview questions.

Example prompt: “Summarize Everlaw’s recent product updates and compare them to competitors.”

Application Materials (Resume, Cover Letter)

Draft materials yourself, then use AI to refine clarity, tone, or structure. Content must reflect your real experiences.

Example prompt: “Polish this bullet: Led migration to case management software, cutting review times 30%.”

Interview Preparation

Use AI to organize STAR stories, brainstorm answers, or rehearse.

Example prompt: “Help me reframe this project leadership story using the STAR method.”

Where You May Not Use AI

Assessments (Unless Explicitly Allowed)

Complete take-home exercises and technical challenges independently. If AI is permitted, we’ll say so clearly.

Example of unallowed use: Using AI to write code or draft a work sample answer

Live Interviews (Remote or Onsite)

All live interactions must be your own, unaided. This includes technical interviews, problem-solving discussions, and behavioral interviews.

Follow-Up Emails

We want to hear your own voice and reflections.

Why These Guidelines

  • We want to see your thinking and communication skills.

  • We use AI at Everlaw to enhance, not replace, independent work.

  • Our assessments and interviews are designed to test problem-solving, collaboration, and authenticity.

By following this guidance, you'll help us get the most accurate read on your abilities. This allows us to focus on what matters most during our conversations and enables our team to make the most informed hiring decisions. If you have any questions, please feel free to raise them with your recruiter or email us at recruiting@everlaw.com
