Everlaw Omni Brings Agentic AI to Complex, High-Stakes Legal Matters
Everlaw’s First Agentic AI Experience Orchestrates the Right Tools to Find the Evidence that Matters Most
by Casey Sullivan
Every legal strategy starts with understanding the facts and applying the law to them. And there are dozens of tools to help legal professionals gain command of the facts: powerful search tools to uncover key documents; data visualization and analytics to reveal nuanced relationships in case data; generative AI that can classify documents, extract entities, and surface key insights across tens of millions of documents.
But to organize the facts into a winning strategy, the burden falls on litigators to figure out which feature to use, when to use it, and how to manually piece together disparate outputs.
What if that process could be a little more seamless?
What if legal teams could easily bring together the right tools for each task?
What if those tools could retain the facts, context, and strategy that matter?
And what if the insights they found followed the team wherever they worked?
That’s why Everlaw built Omni.

Everlaw Omni is Everlaw’s agentic AI litigation and investigation suite. Building on the power of Deep Dive, Everlaw Omni introduces two powerful new capabilities to the Everlaw platform: Omni Agent, which orchestrates complex workflows in Everlaw to answer users’ natural language prompts, and Case Memory, which builds a shared, ever-evolving understanding of a matter’s factual background that grows as new evidence becomes available.
Orchestrating Litigation and Investigation Workflows
At its core, Everlaw Omni exists to help legal professionals understand their case and complete their work as accurately, reliably, and efficiently as possible. Users can simply prompt Omni Agent with a question or task, such as “Which executives and department heads knew about the issues involving customer funds?” and Omni Agent will quickly get to work.
When given a task, Omni Agent operates within the Everlaw platform to first identify the user’s intent, then bringing together Everlaw’s native tools to begin answering the prompt, orchestrating those tools into full workflows, before synthesizing the results and formulating an answer. The output is a clear, evidence-backed response with direct citations to the underlying facts.
For example, an attorney might ask the agent to identify the main decision-makers in a dispute, trace how discussions of a risky initiative changed over several months, map who was communicating with whom at key moments, and connect those findings to the most relevant documents. Instead of stitching together multiple searches and workflows manually, the attorney can use Omni Agent to carry that investigation forward on their behalf, moving from scattered evidence to a clearer, citation-backed understanding of the case.
As Omni Agent works, it keeps track of context across follow-up questions, so each exchange builds on the last.
When responding to a prompt, Omni Agent will be able to:
Construct and refine searches using Everlaw Query Language
Analyze communication patterns with Communication Visualizer
Investigate issues across millions of documents with Deep Dive
Sequence the right Everlaw tools for multi-step work
Synthesize results from across a matter
Over time, Omni Agent’s capabilities will continue to grow, expanding from gathering facts to carrying out additional tasks: creating interactive visualizations, interfacing with Storybuilder, managing search term reports and assignments – even managing productions.
Grounded in Case Memory
Omni also introduces Case Memory, intelligence that proactively and continuously extracts facts from matter documents, creating a central fact library that can be used to populate Storybuilder and inform Omni Agent outputs.
Case Memory finds and structures case facts, based on user-defined criteria. As new documents are added to a matter, that library of facts automatically incorporates new information, creating a shared understanding of the matter from the evidence.
That means key entities, events, and facts are organized on the user’s behalf, according to their defined requirements. No longer will associates need to spend hours manually extracting allegations, normalizing names, or building timelines from scratch. With Omni’s Case Memory extracting and structuring events behind the scenes, legal teams can quickly access clean, accurate chronologies without the manual overhead. Legal teams remain in control of which facts they include in their work.
The first application of Case Memory will be within Storybuilder, where legal teams can use it to automate the creation of timelines, issue summaries, and evidence-backed work product without rebuilding the facts each time.
Built on the Core Pillars of Trust and Defensibility
Legal strategy cannot be built on a black box, which is why Omni’s agentic experience is rooted in trust and defensibility. This is achieved through three core pillars built into Omni’s architecture.
First, the tool cites its sources for easy verification. Unlike general consumer models that perform expansive web searches and leverage embedded knowledge, risking hallucinations, Omni remains strictly constrained to the user's specific document set. By grounding every response in the underlying corpus, Omni is designed to minimize hallucinations and deliver reliable answers based solely on the documents provided.
Second, Omni Agent shows how it got to its response. When working through a task, Omni Agent clearly shows the tools it selected, the manner in which it used them, the resulting documents, and the final response. Audit trails are built in, with clear records of users, prompts, inputs, and outputs available when needed. The result is a clearer path from question to output, and one that helps legal teams examine the process, validate the findings, and document their workflow if it is later scrutinized.
Finally, all responses are anchored by granular, document-level citations. Every insight, narrative, or summary produced by Omni is backed by a specific document, page, or paragraph within the corpus, directly cited for immediate verification. Users never have to accept a summary or narrative on faith. They can move directly from the output to the supporting evidence, confirm assertions, and evaluate the response in context before relying on it.
Together, these pillars reflect a deliberate commitment to defensibility at every stage: keeping outputs grounded in the evidence, making the process more transparent, and giving legal teams clear pathways to verify what they see.
Building an AI-Native Litigation Platform
Omni represents an important milestone in Everlaw’s broader AI vision, extending advanced legal AI capabilities across the platform. Instead of forcing users to move between disconnected tools and reconstruct context at every step, Omni creates a unified way to interrogate evidence, develop insights, and advance strategy within Everlaw.
That unification reflects Everlaw’s larger view of what an AI-native litigation platform should be: one where AI is woven into the workflow, grounded in the record, and designed to stand up to inspection.
Omni is currently in early access and already in use in several leading firms, including Bracewell, Cole, Scott, & Kissane, and Vorys. General availability is expected in the coming months and, as Omni rolls out, Everlaw customers with Deep Dive-enrolled databases will automatically transition to the Omni experience.
