As we step into our next phase of growth, Everlaw is looking for a People Strategy & Operations Program Manager to join us for an impactful 9 month tour of duty. In this role, you will serve as a trusted partner to our VP of People and the Head of People Operations, Insights & Total Rewards, driving high-impact cross-functional initiatives that advance our People function and accelerate progress on our organizational goals.

This role combines strategic thinking with cross-functional collaboration and hands-on execution. You will lead complex projects end-to-end, and will often operate at different altitudes - pulling up to connect with executives at times, and rolling up your sleeves to partner with our frontline at other times. You’ll drive clarity amidst ambiguity - often through qualitative and quantitative insights, strong cross-functional collaboration and influence, and hands-on experimentation to test your hypotheses.

Everlaw’s mission is to promote justice by illuminating truth. Our company culture is open and vibrant and we’re committed to the professional growth of our team members, offering an annual learning and development stipend and regular check-ins with managers regarding career goals. If you’re looking for a place that values passion, integrity, thinking big, and a desire to learn, we’d love to hear from you! Think you’re missing some of the skills and are hesitant to apply? We do not believe in the ‘perfect’ candidate and encourage you to apply if you feel you can bring value to our team.

This is a full-time exempt position (fixed term) based in our Oakland, California office with a hybrid work schedule: in office M/W/Th with the option to work from home Tu/Fr.

Getting started

  • Although this is a fixed term role, we’re committed to your success and want you to feel like a part of our team! You’ll go through our standard onboarding process, which will integrate you into the company with informative sessions on our product, policies, processes, and team structure and goals.

  • We trust that you’ll bring experience and knowledge that will uplift and uplevel the team, but we don’t expect you to know everything on Day 1. We’re excited to find ways for you to contribute, and will create room for you to learn and grow along the way.

In your role, you'll...

  • Develop an inaugural “Voice of the Customer” program: In partnership with our People Operations Generalist, you’ll field questions that are top of mind for Everlawyers, sharing helpful articles, answering questions directly, or routing them to subject matter experts for high touch help. Leveraging the insights you earn over your first month, and a quantitative analysis of 12+ months of tickets, you’ll synthesize themes that are top of mind for Everlawyers and use these to refine our core areas of focus. You’ll also develop a programmatic way to help the People Team stay up-to-date on Everlawyers’ core concerns - so we understand our internal “customers” and stay focused on what matters most.
  • Uplevel our knowledge base: Using your insights from the “Voice of the Customer” program, you’ll thoughtfully revamp our existing repository of employee-facing content. You’ll ensure we offer answers to the questions Everlawyers are really asking, and develop communication that’s discoverable, digestible and delightful. You’ll also explore opportunities to use AI to extend our reach - offering 24/7 self-serve support so Everlawyers can get the help they need, when they need.
  • Scale our People Systems: In partnership with our Senior People Systems Program Manager, you’ll ramp up quickly on the ways in which we’re adopting new workflows and tools for efficiency.  You’ll review our People Systems Roadmap together, and prioritize areas where you’re best suited to lead the charge. You’ll champion these initiatives through the software development lifecycle - identifying requirements, designing and testing solutions, and rolling them out with clear communications that drive adoption and delight. As new problems are identified, you’ll assess their urgency and importance, and dynamically reprioritize our Roadmap to maximize impact.
  • Strengthen our data foundation: Last but not least, you’ll partner with our Senior People Strategy & Operations Analyst to deepen our data chops. You’ll review and enhance our core processes to ensure our data is always secure and accurate, create the infrastructure we need to access our data across systems, and ultimately develop the organizational health dashboards we need to make thoughtful, data-informed decisions about our greatest asset - our People and Culture.
