Search for email threads
When searching across the documents in your case, adjusting your search settings will help you keep entire email threads (or chains) together.
If you’d like to speed up your review you can remove any non-inclusive (or duplicative) emails from your results. Watch to learn about the full process.
View Email Threads in the Results Table
After you adjust your settings, the email threads and their associated attachments will be grouped together in your results table. A new grouping column is added to the left side of the results table, indicated by the expansion icon and the number of documents in that group.
Note: Only the emails in the thread will be listed in the expansion icon number. This does not include the attachments.
You might also want to add some columns to your results table that are useful when reviewing emails like the “To, from, Subject, Primary Date.” Watch to learn how to add columns to your results table.
Review Email Threads in the Results Table
You can apply review work such as notes and codes to all documents in an email thread. Watch to learn how to apply review work from the results table.
Review Email Threads in the Context Panel
To apply review work to all documents in an email thread, click the “Modify x documents” button at the bottom of the email thread view in the context panel. Apply desired review work.
