Enable Free Everlaw AI Features

Turn on Everlaw AI for your organization

To get started, turn on Everlaw AI at the organization level, allowing projects to use no‑cost single AI actions. Note: This step does not enable AI in individual projects. It only makes Everlaw AI available for Project Admins to turn on in each project.

  • From Organization Home, go to the Everlaw AI tab.

  • Under Everlaw AI, find the option “Enable Everlaw AI for all projects in organization” and toggle it on.

  • (Optional) In the same tab, use “Disable features” controls to turn off any AI features you don’t want available across your org (for example, you can globally disable certain assistants or coding suggestions if needed).

Enable Everlaw AI in each project

With Everlaw AI enabled for your organization, turn it on inside the specific projects where you want users to run free Review Assistant and Writing Assistant tasks. Note: By default, projects do not have Everlaw AI enabled, even if the Org‑level toggle is on, so this step is required for each project.

  • Open the project where you want to enable Everlaw AI.

  • Click Project Management > Project Settings.

  • Go to the Everlaw AI tab located on the left-hand side.

  • Toggle “Enable Everlaw AI in this project” on.

Turn on free Review Assistant and Writing Assistant features

Once Everlaw AI is enabled in your project, decide which no‑cost Review Assistant and Writing Assistant features you want your team to use.

  • On the same Everlaw AI tab as before, review the Review Assistant section and toggle on the single‑document tools you want to make available, such as:

    • Descriptions & summaries

    • Topic analysis

    • Custom extractions

    • Q&A (Ask questions about this document)

    • Coding Suggestions

  • In the Writing Assistant section, toggle Writing Assistant on so users can generate AI‑assisted content in Storybuilder Drafts and Depositions. If your organization has Everlaw AI enabled, Deep Dive for transcripts is also available at no additional cost for transcript Q&A.

  • Repeat Steps 2–3 for any additional projects where you want these free Everlaw AI features.

  • Note: Batch actions are turned off by default, so your team cannot access any AI features that consume credits.
