According to the non-profit Feeding America, 11.5% of Bay Area residents and 12.2% of Alameda County residents are food insecure. As part of volunteer efforts for the campaign, Everlaw employees sorted and bagged produce at the Alameda County Community Food Bank in addition to raising money by “dressing to impress.”

Participation spanned across all levels of the company, from employees who joined just weeks earlier to the company’s CEO and Co-Founder, AJ Shankar. Mariya Rybak, a Customer Success Associate, reflected, “I bagged apples alongside AJ and appreciated the fact that we put actions behind our words.” Through the company’s collective efforts, Everlaw raised the most meals and had the best volunteer participation among 20 legal organizations that participated this past May.

Everlaw’s success in Food From the Bar is no small feat for a startup and is a result of the company’s values-driven culture and dedicated employees. “Across the company, people share the desire to want to do good and help people in our community,” added Mariya.
